GRINDING COFFEE

Under your trainer’s observation, prepare one coffee grinder for service by choosing coffee beans, blends or roasts to load into the hopper. Use the grinder to measure a dose for one shot of espresso.

Follow the steps below:

1. Select the appropriate coffee bean, blend or roast.

2. Fill the bean hopper with an appropriate amount of beans.

3. Grind one dose for one shot of espresso.

4. Check the weight or measurement of the dose according to the organisational procedure.

5. Assess the grind size to determine if it matches your organisation’s standards.
