STEAM MILK FOR A SHORT MACCHIATO
Under your trainer’s observation, prepare textured milk to add to the espresso extracted in Chapter 4, Activity 2 for a short macchiato.
Follow the steps below:
1. Select the appropriate type of milk.
2. Check your organisation’s recipes and pour the appropriate amount of milk into a prepared milk foaming jug.
3. Purge the steam wand before use.
4. Steam the milk in the jug until it is ready with the following indicators:
- Hissing sound of milk
- Volume of milk
5. Tap and swirl the textured milk.
