SMS Tags Enhancements

In this update, significant enhancements have been made to SMS Email Templates in relation to Dynamic Fields (also known as Tags) and Email Template Types. This include the categorisation of ALL dynamic fields and assignment of an Email Type is now required in ALL email templates. These improvements ensure that users select the correct tags when sending emails within the system.

First Tab:

• The first tab defines Dynamic Fields and Email Template Types.
• Dynamic Fields – All Dynamic Fields used in the system are now grouped into Categories.
• Email Template Types – Definition of which Tag Categories are used for each Email Type.

Second Tab:

• The second tab details all areas where emails can be sent within the system.
• It defines which Dynamic Fields or Email Template Types are supported for each area.
• This is enforced in the system, so users won’t be able to add incorrect tags — for example, Invoice Templates and Invoice Fields can't be used when sending an email from Student -> Enrolments -> Send Email.

Note: Everything highlighted in the sheet in Orange is new for this release.

Ability to Send Email from Events:

• Included in this release is the ability for users to send emails directly from Events.
• In Schedule Page > Schedules Tab > Edit Event, a checkbox column has been added which allow users to select multiple students.
• When checked, an Email button will appear at the top of the table. Clicking this button will open an Email modal, allowing users to send emails to selected students.

New Dynamic Fields for Digital Docs:

• New Dynamic Fields have been added to Digital Docs under Administration > Templates > Digital Docs:
  • {Event Schedule} – Displays an event table.
  • {Duration (Days)} – Displays the duration (days) of the program instance.
  • {Weeks Attended} – Displays the weeks attended of the program instance.
• These tags will only show for Enrolment Entity (Standard and Signature Types).
